Protest

I first became interested in Photography during the early 1980's which at the time in the UK was a highly charged political environment. This was the decade of Thatcher rule, the falklands war, high unemployment, the miner's strike and privatisation. There was always something going on and always something kicking off, and I realised early on I enjoyed demonstrations. I learnt quickly that taking photographs of protest was a powerful means of getting certain messages across to a wider society.
