Portraits

Seeing all the wonderful portraits the American Photographer Diane Arbus used to take in the 1960's was what initially drew me into photography in the first place, and of all the genres, portraiture is the one I turn to most and still feel the most comfortable with. Whether that's in an indoor studio setting or outdoor where the role of what background to use opens up a whole new dimension. Making a mental note of potential backdrops for future portrait sessions is still something I do on a regular basis, and of course where the position of the sun is at various times of the day.
